Amanda:
Good message. I sometimes try to see what can be done about assignments.
If we let students do whatever they want, this doesn't work either; some
will do NOTHING. I would like to strike a balance. Also, don't they love
to do copied cartoon figures,e tc. if we let them.

I try to assign a project which includes a skill; if the media is too
restricting, I don't restrict the subject unless it's to say the
no-no's(copied images, things that could cause trouble, etc.)

I didn't like the professor in college saying,"interesting" which usually
meant she didn't like the work! I try never to say that no matter what. It
must be a code word for "That stinks."

Let's have some input on this subject about required assignments, etc.
