Maybe a good ANT. SET. would be one of the following:
Introduce movements by doing some experiments with op art -- let the
colors pop out at the students -- let them see vibrating lines or use
colorfield examples of Joseph Albers or mobiles of Calder or action
painting of Pollock -- let them play with it and then let them give
that type of art a name -- a great discussion should develop -- then
teach them the normal academic definitions and history.
