Re: Stools or Chairs?

Stools are so much better. They allow for much more flexibility when moving
about. Many times we push the stools under the tables when we are standing up
to work........this gives us much more needed space for moving about the
room. I teach k-8. Our 7/8 graders have reproduced a famous work of art on
each stool. This is a good way to get all students recognizing famous works.
We sometimes play games...I'll hold up a print and child raises hand if they
think their stool is reproduction by the same artist, or "who is sitting on a
stool that has a landscape, warm colors, portrait, etc.?."

I don't have a chalk board because I wanted to use the space for other
stuff...sinks, storage walls All I have is chart paper on an easel and an
overhead projector. Works fine!
