You should definitely have an area as a "gallery". With overhead
tracklighting and white walls perhaps even velveteen roped off areas. When I
was student teaching I taught at a school that had added a wing. The area
between the existing bldg and the new wing was transformed into a very simple,
yet elegant gallery. Professional artists show their work there. There is
also piped in classical music. This is a great learning tool for students.
It shows them that art can be a life long experience. Occasionally the pros
would talk to the students about their art work. They were in awe!
