Looking for suggestions as to how you handle discipline issues in the
art room for grades 4-6th. Mainly the older kids. Sometimes I have had a
class with about 6 kids who have attitude problems out of 25. They are
disruptive to the point that aat times it takes more time dealing with
them than teaching. Does anyone have ideas that have worked. I have
grouped them all at 1 table, separated them out to different working
areas, called unsupportive parents, etc. If I do a highly motivating
project it sometimes gets them more wired. An example is 1 of my students
whose mom told me she sees no value in teaching art so she ddoesn't care
if her child participates (She is a concert pianist) Thanks in advance.
Still looking for tie dyeing ideas for steps and supplies to use.
=) Ruth
