I faked our school's mandatory progress report on a Microsoft Works database
file so that I can easily cut and paste several comments per student as well
as transfer their grades from Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately, the Works
program will not print on our network system, so I have to print them at home.
Could anyone tell me if there is a way to transfer the file to a Microsoft
Access file? I have tried the only ways I know - opening the file with Access,
inserting the data, or opening both programs and cutting and pasting the
information over. Nothing has worked. I get no-go messages or garbled symbols
every way I have tried it. After switching from Works to Word and Excel, I
know I would love to use the additional features of Access, but I don't want
to spend an entire day re-duplicating the school's form exactly.
Anyone know a round about way to convert these types of files?
