I would like to thank the people who sent me mask making video sources.
I really appreciated it. A few thoughts on kindies and art:
I teach them kitchen table style. I have them sit with me at a long
table ( a few pushed together) and I sit in the middle. We do many
lessons this way where I do one step then they follow, stop watch me, I
do the next they follow until we complete the project. Or they sit on
the floor in front of my dry erase easel and we go through drawings
again step by step. I do a lot of Ed Emberly style drawings, pinch clay
pots, simple origami, experimental brush painting, tissue paper collage
to learn color mixing, and subjects they know well(drawing their face,
clowns, etc) One of the most fum lessons was when I skowed them a video
of the circus (Ringling Bros) and they drew what they liked the most.
Because of the familiartity their drawngs were great fo their age. If
you have them for a long time: I have started with the project such as
origami airplanes, while coloring them read them a story about going on
an airplane, then going on the playground and design an airport with
colored chalk, and then lining up in groups to fly their plane. Hope
this helps, sorry for the length ( I just love those kindies) = ) Ruth
