I think that the whole subject of German fiber work should be explored...my
mother also brought a wealth of hand made items...lace doillies, embroidery,
crocheted and knitted work. She told me a story of how, during wartime,
there was no wool, so they would unravel old items and recreate them...this
would be interesting to research.
