Any time my students (9-12) say "I can't draw this" my immediate response
is "well I guess that I can't help you then, you must be physically
unable to perform this task." They in turn know to
rephrase it to say, "I am momentarily artistically challenged to do this"
It actually makes them stop, think, and often times laugh about their
stubbornness.
I also do not allow the word "sucks" to be spoken in my classroom. You
can tell which students are the art kids in our building because they
know to rephrase it by saying "stinks highly"
