Hi Becky. How nice to hear what you say. It is surely very much like my
experience with a 5 year old these passed two week. He started every class
by saying;" I cannot draw this or that......." I got him to paint even
though he said" he could not paint a clown" then he painted some beautiful
green and yellow brushstrokes , lovely tones and filled his paper with it,
after I really admired it he painted another painting in red and blue, and
a third in brown and orange( in that the clown was emerging. I truthfully
adored the paintings and told him they were like real paintings. He left my
class calling back to me very happily: "IŽll see you next Tuesday". Next
Tuesday came. We were drawing suns, trees and houses. He said he could not
draw anything. The same happened and at the end of class he left me
beautiful drawings and happily said heŽd see me next week. And I cannot
wait to see him for I know that before spring I shall have one good and
happy student. Just felt I had to tell you this little story. I have so
many similar ones. Regards Rosa
