A fellow teacher realized she was totally out of flour as she started a
paper mache project at home one weekend...rain storm outside so she
started rummaging around to find a substitute. Came across an old box of
Gerber's Baby Cereal-Rice. It has the consistency of very, fine paper
flakes. She said it mixed to a nice, smooth consistency....no lumps!

I like to use Vano Starch because it has so many other uses in the art
class, i.e., to glue tissue paper shapes for collage work.
