While I prefer folks to leave the quoted material at the end of their
messages rather than at the beginning, it doesn't take so much time to
scan through the copied material to get to the new writing. It isn't really
worth complaining about.
While obviously there are still people interested in topics I feel have
been beaten to death, I can just trash 'em.
While careful spelling and editing is preferred, poor spelling and editing
is better than missing the the great number of cool ideas that sometimes
get posted in a cockeyed manner.
While misused subject lines like "Re: artsednet-digest V2 #98" are really a
drag, it doesn't take long to just skim then delete them.
While other people (especially artists!?) are often different, sometimes
hard to understand, frequently annoying, and lots of times just learning
how to email stuff...will applying new rules improve anything?
While there are many problems with the list serv system, lets stop
complaining and just send posts as we wished others would. Our example is a
better model than our complaining.
There. Enough said. Pardon me for letting off some steam. Lets put the
kabosh on this "rules" idea and get to the interesting part-sharing ideas
about our cultures, our art, our art students, and our art education.
