internet in the classroom

Uli,
Though we don't yet have Internet in the classroom (It is partially wired
at this point), I have taken my students to the library to use the
Internet. Last year we studied Installation Art in Art 3 & 4. After
reading the issue of Scholastic Art that dealt with that, the students
explored Sandy Skoglund's exhibit on artsednet. We used this as a basis
for discussion. They then made their own installations in groups and
displayed them in a little makeshift gallery in the school corridor. Their
theme was people. They stuffed old clothing with carpet padding remnants
and added wire coat hangers. It was a well received experience.
This year my Art One students looked at the Virtual Ceramics
Exhibit and the work of Al Qoyawayma before working in ceramics. Here are
