another transparency idea!

This is fun! Have kids do a "line" drawing of still-life, etc. where all
the lines run both horizonally and vertically only and in different
variations of thicknesses. Cover entire page with lines. Do this on ditto
paper 8 1/2 x 11.
Run off copy of each student's line drawing onto a transparency. Line-up
drawing transparency copy with orginal drawing so all lines match. Fasten
with those brass fasteners...forgot what you call them...so you can
slightly "rotate" the two sheets to separate. GREAT project to explain the
concept of Op art....where the eye dances back and forth to create an
optical illusion of movement! Also instant headache!!!! Cya...........
