Hello! I am designing a high school lesson plan around the artwork of New
Orleans artist George Rodrigue and his Blue Dog paintings. Can anyone provide
information on other artists using New Orleans, dogs or a specific 'color
theme' for their work? I am also open to anything else that comes to mind
that would work in this unit such as jazz or blues music as a theme in art. I
did a search of past discussions and came up with some great information on
what the color blue has meant in other cultures and for other artists.

If any of you are going to New Orleans for the convention there is a "Blue
Dog" gallery there and this is a website if you want to take a look.

Thanks. (-:
