Hello all! 2 art ed grad students to do a presentation on aspects of
studio art critiques are looking for the responses of teachers K-12
conducting stusdio critiques. Please respond to this in any way. Here
are some questions we have:
How would you define critique in your class?
How often do you conduct them?
What are your goals and how are they different for varied grades?
What constitutes a good (bad) crit?
What is your style of teaching? (facilitator, conductor?)
What is good art, in your mind?
What methods work best?
While examining the students intent and the assignment fulfillment,
do you also do art criticism which involves description,
interpretation and evaluation as critical procedure?
Do you have any written documentation of the above information
that is made available to your students and might be made
available to us?
Please respond as soon as possible as we are presenting April 5th.
Documentations can be Emailed to me or sent to:
