This forum is a terrific opportunity to share ideas, debate differences of
opinion, and inform one another on a variety of topics and issues we care
about. I am compelled to respond to some of the "subtle" and not so subtle
putdowns and "ittle digs" in some of the conversations I have been reading
recently. Judging one another's motives, calling each other arrogant, or
suggesting that one "does one's homework" as we explore difficult concepts
or issues is counterproductive to our goals here. There are more fruitful
ways to inform one another and hash out differences. I recommend a more
generous tone of writing.....a vigorous, but respectful, debate. Written
zingers often translate much ruder than intended.
