I don't have much time, so my initial response to Dorean Lewis about motivation
in the art class is perhaps simplistic, but I think works. In presenting a
unit be very clear about the expectations, objectives (why are we doing this?),
and as the instructor, be enthusiastic, excited, upbeat, encouraging, and set a
tone of unanxious expectations where a sense of challenge and risk are present
as a goal but not seen as impossible obstacles.
