GPA for Art Teachers

One of my art education students is bemoaning her overall grade point
average of 2.83. She has always had a 3.00 and above, however, due to
moves and transfering, (courses which didn't transfer) her GPA has slipped.
She does not think she can bring it up to 3 in the time she has left.

Her question is: How important is a prospective teacher's GPA for getting
hired to teach art?
Thank you.
