  Do any of you have any suggestions about a fixative for oil pastels, or
some way to keep them from getting all over the kids' books and clothes when they
take them home? I teach elementary and I just did a lesson with oil pastels!
 I sprayed one batch with Krylon clear glaze, which seems to be working. I
had ordered a coating medium from Sax, but decided that to have the kids paint
it on and let it dry would use up too much of my class time. I haven't used
oil pastels much but love the colors and got some nice results from my students.
