[teacherartexchange] Oil Pastels

Woody turned me on to the Portfolio brand of oil pastels a few years ago.
They are fantastic. They are also water soluble which add another dimension.
 My middle schooler's oil pastel work improved tremendously when I switched
to Portfolio. The kids love them so much that several bought their own sets
from Michaels. Portfolio is now offering a "class pack" set that I plan to
order for next year. I used to avoid using oil pastels because my cheap sets
were so messy, and the kids work smeared so easily. You will love Portfilio,
 they're awesome!
These pastels are fairly large and come in sets of 12 or 24. The 24 set has
a wonderful color selection. I always order extra whites but had to order a
different brand for the single refills.
