Dear Woody,

You can easily transfer files back and forth between two Macs using
Firewire Disk Mode http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58583

FYI iTunes (and iPhoto) do NOT like their files being moved around on
a computer. Leave the music in the iTunes folder where it is on that
computer.
