I do still have the instructional book from my Jon Nagy kit (circa late
50's-early 60's I guess). I'll pull it out and show it to my students
explaining how I first learned 'professional' drawing/shading

Oooohhhhh, I got a Jon Nagy drawing set when I was about 7-8. He was on

"Educational TV" in NC when I was growing up. He even looked like an
artist: black turtleneck, goatee.
