Our school had an old fashioned can/bottle drive (except we asked the kids to
recycle the things first and then bring in their nickles). They raised over
$2,000 just from doing that. I was pretty proud of them because we have had
many fund raisers (we raised over $5,000 for the public school across the
street from ground zero) that raised more money but this was all from the children
so I thought it was pretty good! One of our parents works for Americares so
we gave the money to them.
