Michelle,
Your thoughts on why kids fail art are right on target. I agree with you
completely. Especially with elementary kids - every child should leave art
class anxiously anticipating the next class. Unless they are emotionally
disturbed - and even then, art sometimes hits just the right chord. You
sound like one terrific teacher.
