Research on Best Practices of Teaching Art

Date: Wed Feb 04 2004 - 17:25:09 PST

Hello, fellow art educators, I am currently working on a mini-research paper on "Best Practices" for teaching art or teaching strategies or pedagogy,....whatever you want to call it. I have found few resources. So much of the research was on why the arts are important in education or what the arts do when integrating them with core areas. I ordered some books from NAEA. The books have not arrived yet and I found two sites that have some information. Those sites were the Knowledge Loom and the TETAC report. Does anyone else have some suggested resources? It must be research based.
On a positive note, I have not researched much for almost 20 years. The methods have changed, but I'm sure having fun and learning a lot, just not what I needed.

Thank you,
