Hi all,
Ive been on the list for a while, but I've never posted---however this topic
has definately gotton my attention! I am an elementary art teacher and an
adjunct art instructor at the college level.

At the school I teach at, I give a grade every nine weeks. Art, Music, and
PE use S, N, U to grade their students, and I give every single one of my
students an "S" regardless of the quality of their artwork. I do not believe
grades are appropriate (for art) at the elementary level, however I am also
required to give an A,B,C,D or F conduct grade and I think this is very
appropriate...
