mosaic stepping stones

We did a pathway at our school. People donated old plates and left over
tiles. I had a Boy Scout mix and pour and install the concrete tiles for his
Eagle Project and frankly if you get a good scout...that's the way to do it.
After doing a few of my own tiles..mixing concrete is not my idea of having's caustic to my hands and it's a lot of work for several
students....The student's (as well as school board, PTO members etc...)glued
with Elmers washable glue tiles..upside down on a piece of kraft paper with
their design. Then when the concrete is poured on top sets up over
night...and then the paper is washed off....and design is in reverse- it
works... I have created a form just using wood and duct tape. and weighted it
down with a brick. It works. THe boys made a larger version and bought
concrete "rolling barrels" to mix the concrete. They did the pouring on a
Saturday...IF you have any questions...Email...the kids certainly were proud
of it...
