Try full strength Murphy's Oil Soap. It won't hurt your son, but full strength, without water it will clean out the plasticine. It does on hands. We rub it in very well until the plasticine is moving with the soap and then wash it off. Not sure about the blue dye, but the plasticine will be gone.
