The students did murals in K-2 by drawing themselves and they had to cut out
their full bodied portraits doing something outside like jump roping or
skating and give them to me. I painted 18 x 24" illustration board pictures
of landscapes and I glued the portraits onto them. I ended up with three
large boards with at least 300 people glued to the landscape. Small portraits
went to the back and large portraits were in the front. There's a lesson
about this in Laura Chapman's Adventures in Art series in the second grade
blue book.
