News for Texas Members of the list:

Governor Perry and State leadership have instructed the Texas Commission on
the Arts (TCA) to re-submit the budget request for 2004 and 2005 based on a
zero-base budget model. This is an across the board reduction imposed on
all state agencies.

TCA has been instructed by the Legislative Budget Board to reduce the budget
request by $1,244,414 each year for a total reduction of $2,488,827.
