Re: politics

To play devil's advocate, I will repeat what our teacher's union President
said to us, "Everything you teach, the amount of time you teach, how students
are assessed, your retirement benefits, when you retire, your health care
benefits, your duty times, your lunch, your prep, your salary, etc., etc.,
etc. are determined by those elected to office."

While I feel that we should not engage in political bashing, I feel healthy
political debate is a good thing and very important to us as teachers and as
informed citizens.

Oh a related note, the state of CT is working to repeal the "Leave No Child
Behind" legislation.

Any other states working on this?
