I only have used the shrink opaque and clear purchased "stuff"..The the
opaque gets better results then the clear.
Yes.. lighter to med shades of color work well and the darker colors will all
turn black...The only time I have had luck with details such as
to make them huge!...but they will still all shrink just at different rates.

My best luck is to work with a basic shape...sometimes trimming a little
before shrinking...but experiment...I know you will come up with fun stuff.

.I haven't tried the plastic containers and all that.
