Yup, You're right , it is fumey--don't inhale. Sculp metal has a shelf life too.
Some of it may be quite grainey-- and if it is, don't bother using it. It'll
crack and come off easily. I quit using it years ago for these reasons. there
are so many other things that one could use without worries about toxicity.
