In Photoshop on a Mac the user preferences can be set to add the file
extensions when saving. You can check NEVER, ALWAYS, OR ASK when saving.
Or, the windows recipient can add the file extension (by opening Explorer
and Renaming the file) and if the e-mail message sender includes a note
saying what type of file it is.
