Although I sometimes write mine on the computer, writing them out by hand
helps me remember what I want to teach without refering to the lesson plan.
That was a strategy I used in school to remember information. Writing it down
makes it visual for me and helps with memory. Since I don't look at my hands
when I type, if doesn't really do the same for me.
I also make up my own lesson plan format. I do a monthly plan. Since I teach
all six grade levels, I can see at a glance where each class is. Janet
