Focus on one flower or even a few leaves. We do a lesson in second grade.
Draw one flower to fill a 8"x8" white paper. Go over lines with black glue.
Second class, use one main color (oil pastel) to color the flower. Use white
to make light areas and black or complementary colors to darken the color.
Then the background is colored using the complement of the main color of the
flower. Mat on black construction paper. Turns out beautiful! Janet
