It's easiest to avoid visual cliches by drawing them on the blackboard with a
cross through them like the lollypop tree or the smiley face. I tell them
they have seen them in coloring books and they are a stereotype. They have
been taught them since they were 5 years old and we are professionals now. We
want to get away from this common stuff.
