What a coincidence Cindi! I just finished hand sculptures
with my sculpture class. They did theirs with plaster
strips. Most of them came out really good. The requirement
was that they had to make a statement. Two of them made
faces also. One called his "Temptation" and placed the hand
in front of the face as if warding off temptation. Another
made two hands and made a relief with the three parts
coming out of a spiral. The third one placed the face being
held by the hand to which she added a forearm. Among the
others there is a hand holding a liquor bottle
called "Humanities Vice."

O feel very satisfied with this activity in general. Now
they are working with the hose/wire pieces. The requirement
is that they cover the nylon and create a piece with
interesting negative spaces. We'll see.
