I bought a miter saw this year.....I needed one last year, but made due with
my jig saw. It has cut my time by a lot...I like to use wood bases for
sculpture....you can buy studs for a little over a dollar and get enough
bases for a class...if you can cut the wood! Although...when I brought it
into school and started using it during one of my prep periods...my principal
freaked...she made me take it to the basement...told me I could cut wood to
my heart's content down there!!!
