Getting Them Into the Museum on Field Trips, Etc.

I am an elementary librarian that loves art. I want to expose my students to
our local museums. I've had a problem getting the teachers to schedule their
classes for field trips to the museums.

I am doing a workshop for my teachers to encourage them to use our museums.
I am wanting to do a different approach to the theme. I am looking for
sometime fresh and different. I've done quite a few workshops on art. I
have them for 1 hr.

I need help in 2 areas.....1.What activities, lessons, hands on acitivties
can I do to encourage teachers to go to the museum? 2. These activities
need to apply to any museum or art. A broad base for the activities that can
be tailor made to fit whatever art work is up.

Of course I will fit the workshop to integrate the into the literature in
teacher's manuals and the books in the library.

Can anyone assist me? Thanks so much!
