For those who are just beginning your collection..... or those who want to
add to your collection...
Open your Sax Catalog to page 394 and you will find Music for the
Classroom --- " ...The ideal musical environment to encourage creativity,
productivity and concentration....."
Product no. 587-9507 Set of 2 CD's $19.95 Audio tapes available too for
$14.95.

Another popular book is Design Synectics by Roukes - middle school and up.
Add a good art history like Janson's Art History or Janson's History of Art
for Young People. There are literally hundreds (thousands?) of books for
art education. Maybe get a hold of an art supply catalog -- like Sax - and
look at those listed. This one looks good - Ultimate Visual Dictionary
(grade 5 thru adult). Also The Penguin Concise Dictionary of Art History --
and The Artist's Illustrated Encyclopedia by Metzger - middle school and
up....Here is another--- How to Organize and Manage Your Art Room by
Comstock. One more...Career Ideas for Kids Who Like Art by Reeves.

For what age group are you compiling a list? You would want to add a
curriculum resources, too for that age group.

P.S. The Art Teacher's Book of Lists is by Helen Hume - and I recommend it
too.
