I saw an interesting art lesson plan in this vein at the Keith Haring
website. The objective: to examine the issues and concerns that are important
to students. It has the students design a TV message that catches people's
attention. It can be done as a cooperative project with small groups of 4 to
6 students. Students make their artwork on a TV shaped piece of paper. You
can print out a copy of the lesson plan, it's on the Keith Haring website.
