I don't want any hate mail from those Howard Gardner fans.....I like Arts
Propel as much as the next person....but..there is very little quantitative
data for Arts Propel/Project Zero. Also...much of his(Gardner's) initial
data (theory) was derived from observing his own children. It is difficult
to use Project Zero as a reference for how much the arts can do for children.
These days people want to see the hard numbers....number of children
affected, number children in study, percent improved...etc...etc...etc...
There are many nice emperical studies done by the Project Zero folks, but do
be careful.....most school boards/principals want specific information,
specific data...who what when where...and how much!!!
