The sausage man is when you draw oval "sausage" shapes to block in body,
arms and legs. A grown up is approximately 7 1/2 heads tall. Kids are
more like 5.

I picked up a great book on drawing people at Barnes and Noble. It is
called "How to Draw and Paint People: practical painting techniques for
all junior painters," by Angela Gair. ISBN 0-7858-0484-6
