I am making candles with my saturday group. I am using a crock pot filled with water and those metal wax melting cups with handles to melt the wax. That way it is safe, not quite so hot and I can do different colors. I am using small cardboard milk cartons and shells for the candles and cotton string for wicks. Hope that helps!
