Ok....I am in dire straights! I have an art show coming up in two
weeks....and I have a second grade class that does not have even one decent
piece of flat work to show. How could I let this happen you say? Well...all
along I have been given them the same assignments I have given the other
second grades. This class has had really management issues all year. I
finally had to take away all materials but colored pencils at one point.
They have been better lately, but now are so far behind. I gave them the
same assignment I gave the other second graders for the show (gargoyle
collage to go with a clay gargoyle they made) The collages show really
really poor work. More like kindergarten. Part of me feels, this is the
work and I should show it as is...and part of me wants to see if I can find
any kind of easy, successful lesson for them to do when they get back.
I would love to do some sort of faith ringgold lesson (I have fabric markers
and fabric...they love to draw) Or anything they might have some succes with.
Any ideas??? I need to know by next week so I can get materials if need be!
Oh woe is me.....lol
