I'm really sorry to hear about how bad your job has turned out. I had a
similar situation working at an alternative school with no supplies in a new
town. I did get stressed out.
I would suggest you try to link up with some other art teachers in the area
as well as the education director at the nearest art museam. They may be
moral support and may also have or know where to get some supplies. Is it an
option to have the students supply their own glue, colored pencils, and
markers? As far as white paper, can you raid the office supply? Have you
talked to the principal? Where are you teaching?
If I were you, I would do what I could with what I had. I would not spend
lots of my own money. Let the administration know what you are spending out
of pocket too.
You definately need a support system. I would also be looking through the
classifieds. Good luck.
