        This reminds of my lengthy discussion with my professor in college. She
    felt that "kitch" art was not "good" art. I on the otherhand felt art was in
    the eyes of the beholder. Who am I to say that a pink flamingo lawn
    decoration is not art? Maybe to some people a plastic flamingo is a work of
    art. What determines value in art, I believe, is culture and education. Just
    look at grafitti art. For years my grandfather repainted his garage door
    because local grafitti artists made the garage door their canvas. Heaven
    help you if you were to tell my grandfather that grafitti was art!
