The doses are periodically decreased--very small at this time, and the
condition usually runs it's course in five years or so. Just before he was
diagnosed, so many joints were involved we thought he'd be wheelchair bound.
For a time, he could barely get dressed by himself. I've always been leery
of cortisone treatment, but this has been a miracle.
